Volunteer Duty Descriptions

There's many ways to be involved with the Hope Classic. Read the list of positions here, then sign up!

Registration Attendants
The Registration Attendants will collect money and registration information and hand out event packages at different locations leading up to and on the morning of the event.

Parking/Traffic Attendants
Parking/Traffic Attendants help direct traffic along the course to provide safety. Volunteers are also needed to maximize the use of the parking we have available on the day of the event.

Water Station Attendants
There will be water stations located along the course and each station will have attendants. The goal of these attendants is to ensure that there is a steady supply of water and encouragement for all participants.

Clean Up/Breakdown Attendants
After the event we will need to clean up the entire area around the hall and the water station areas and break down and pack up equipment. Trucks and garbage bags will be available to this team. Our goal will be to leave the entire area cleaner than we found it.

Set Up Attendants
Before the event we will need to set up the water stations, tents, entertainment gear, PA system, registration area, parking cones, etc.

Merchandise Table Attendant
Sell merchandise at the front table and provide direction to participants.

Photographers
We need people (amateur or professional) to volunteer their equipment and expertise capturing the event on cameras and video cameras.

Participant Encouragers
Along the route we have a need for people to be available to participants and encourage them or answer questions/provide help.

Entertainment Volunteers
Volunteers to paint faces, play music, attend the childrens areas (ie bouncy castle) are needed.

Sponsorship Care and Coordination Volunteer
This person will approach businesses and ask them to support the Hope Classic and generally raise interest about the HRC in the community. They would also be responsible for the task of thanking previous year’s sponsors with some type of appreciation campaign and maintaining those relationships over time.
